Ortho-Bionomy

Ortho-Bionomy

Is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork developed in the 1970s by British osteopath Arthur Lincoln Pauls. It uses pain-free movements, comfortable positioning, and light compression to help the body self-correct, release muscle tension, and restore natural alignment.

  • No Force: Practitioners do not use deep pressure or forceful manipulation.

  • Position of Comfort: The body is moved into positions that feel easy or comfortable, often exaggerating a tight posture to prompt natural relaxation reflexes.

  • Nervous System Focus: The technique works with the nervous system to quiet stress patterns and encourage the body's self-healing capacity.
